ATLANTA – State Representative Mesha Mainor (R-Atlanta) will headline an event that focuses on keeping local youth out of street gangs, reforming the juvenile justice system and keeping communities safe from violence and harm on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Milk and Honey Restaurant at Cascade in Atlanta, Georgia.
“As a mother of two, I understand the incredible peer pressure that our youth are under,” said Rep. Mainor. “That’s why we must act early to keep our kids out of street gangs, off drugs and away from dangerous, harmful behavior. However, when our youth make mistakes, we need to extend grace rather than turn these young men and women into hardened criminals. That’s why I support juvenile justice reforms that give local youth another chance to get it right and become productive members of our society. I look forward to speaking at this weekend’s event and encourage my friends and neighbors to join us for this important and timely conversation on how we ensure a safe and prosperous future for all Georgians.”
Myron Fountaine (better known as The Prison Doctor) will also be a featured speaker.
