ATLANTA – State Representative Michelle Au (D-Johns Creek) was recently appointed by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) to serve on the House Appropriations Committee and Appropriations Subcommittee on Health for the remainder of the 2025-2026 legislative term.
“I am grateful to Speaker Burns for the opportunity to serve on the Appropriations Committee during the 2026 session,” said Rep. Au. “The budget is where priorities become real, and I am focused on doing the hard, thoughtful work needed to ensure Georgia’s investments truly serve its people. I am honored by the trust of House District 50 and proud to represent them in these critical decisions at the Capitol.”

Representative Michelle Au represents the citizens of District 50, which includes a portion of Fulton County. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2022 and currently serves on the Appropriations, Appropriations Subcommittee on Health, Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Public & Community Health and Special Rules committees.
