ATLANTA – State Representative Noel Williams (R-Cordele) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 14, 2019, marking his first day of the 2019-2020 legislative term. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 155th legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly.
In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Williams to the Natural Resources & Environment, Insurance and Retirement committees.
“It was an honor and a humbling experience to be sworn into office with my family alongside to representative the citizens of House District 148,” said Rep. Williams. “I look forward to serving my constituents at the Capitol as a member of the Natural Resources & Environment, Insurance and Retirement committees, and I am thankful to Speaker Ralston and the Committee on Assignments for giving me these assignments.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Noel Williams represents the citizens of District 148, which includes Crisp, Pulaski and Wilcox counties and portions of Houston County. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and currently serves on the Insurance, Natural Resources & Environment and Retirement committees.
