Rep. Park Cannon Re-Elected House Minority Caucus Secretary

ATLANTA – The House Democratic Caucus re-elected State Representative Park Cannon (D-Atlanta) as the House Minority Caucus Secretary during caucus elections on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

“I am deeply grateful to my Democratic colleagues for once again placing their trust in me as House Minority Caucus Secretary,” said Rep. Cannon. “As we approach the 2025 legislative session, we are more determined than ever to champion the needs of everyday Georgians who have borne the weight of policies that fall short of safeguarding our communities. I am confident that under this renewed leadership, we will work tirelessly to restore balance and advance justice for all people across our state.”

In this position, Rep. Cannon is responsible for maintaining a record of all caucus meetings.

This will be Rep. Cannon’s sixth term in the Georgia House of Representatives and her third term as Minority Caucus Secretary.

Representative Park Cannon currently represents the citizens of District 58, which includes portions of Fulton County. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2016 and currently serves as the House Minority Caucus Secretary. She also serves on the Code Revision, Creative Arts & Entertainment, Ethics, Human Relations & Aging, Insurance and Small Business Development committees.
