ATLANTA – State Representative Betty Price (R-Roswell) led the Georgia House of Representatives on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in honoring the Blessed Trinity Catholic High School Titans with House Resolution 889. Blessed Trinity Catholic High School’s football team was recognized in the House Chamber of the Georgia State Capitol for their victory in the 2017 Class AAAA Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Football Championship.
“I was honored to welcome Roswell’s Blessed Trinity Catholic High School to the State Capitol to celebrate their tremendous statewide victory,” said Rep. Price. “The team showed immense dedication and overcame many obstacles to win this title, and I’m proud of all they accomplished during the 2017 football season.”
On December 15, 2017, the Blessed Trinity Catholic High School Titans defeated the Marist High School War Eagles with a score of 16-7 in the 2017 Class AAAA GHSA State Football Championship. This marked the school’s first state title win. The winning football team, which consisted primarily of high school juniors, won 13 games during the 2017 football season. Since Blessed Trinity Catholic High School opened in 2000, the Titans have won five regional championships. At the end of the 2017 football season, Blessed Trinity Catholic High School ranked No. 1 in Classification AAAA in Georgia, No. 7 among all schools and all classifications in the state and No. 97 in the nation among all high schools.
