ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Randy Nix (R-LaGrange) as the Chairman of the Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment Committee and Secretary of the Banks and Banking Committee. Rep. Nix will also serve on the Appropriations; Economic Development & Tourism; Education; and Natural Resources and Environment committees.
“I want to thank Speaker Ralston and the House Committee on Assignments. I am honored to be selected for this leadership position, which enhances my ability to represent my constituents and serve the citizens of Georgia,” said Rep. Nix.
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.
