ATLANTA – State Representative Rob Clifton (R-Evans) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 13, 2025, marking his first day of the 2025-2026 legislative term.
“I am honored to serve my amazing hometown of Columbia County,” said Rep. Clifton. “I am very excited to get started working with my committees and my fellow legislators.”
In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Clifton to the Economic Development and Tourism, Interstate Cooperation and Transportation committees.
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.
Representative Rob Clifton represents the citizens of District 131, which includes a portion of Columbia County. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves on the Economic Development and Tourism, Interstate Cooperation and Transportation committees.
