ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex) recently received the Commissioner Bruce Holmes Youth Foundation 2016 Leadership Award. This award recognizes community and civic leaders for their commitment to their communities by demonstrating proven service in the areas of healthy living, education, athletics and leadership.
“I am grateful and honored to be recognized by such an amazing group of individuals that give so much to our children,” said Rep. Scott. “Again, I am thankful, and I will continue to work diligently to make District 76 a place where people want to live, grow and raise their families. I will continue to be a giver and pillar in the community.”
The Commissioner Bruce Holmes Youth Foundation chose Rep. Scott for the 2016 Leadership Award because of her influence and leadership within her community and for her extensive work in assisting both seniors and students.
The Commissioner Bruce Holmes Youth Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization, established in 2011. Since its inception, Commissioner Bruce Holmes Youth Foundation initiatives in Henry County have focused on Youth Development through athletics, education, healthy living and leadership. The foundation’s mission is to establish youth development programs and partnerships which help young people reach their fullest potential.

Representative Sandra Scott represents the citizens of District 76, which includes portions of Clayton and Henry counties.
