During this virtual event, Rep. Scott will discuss House Bill 9, legislation introduced by Rep. Scott during the 2021 legislative session to authorize the state to develop guidelines for mental and behavioral telehealth services for Georgia students while attending school. Medical students from across the country have been invited to participate in this discussion.
“Virtual mental and behavioral health services for Georgia students would benefit students, parents, faculty and staff,” said Rep. Scott. “Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, we have seen more and more students with mental and behavioral health problems, and telehealth would make it easier for students to access the care they need.”
