ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex) today delivered school supplies to several elementary schools in House District 76.
“It is time to give back to our teachers who go above and beyond to provide school supplies for their students,” said Rep. Scott. “I hope the donated supplies can encourage these teachers and that this will be a great year for Clayton County and Henry County students.”
Rep. Scott donated school supplies to Teachers of the Year at East Clayton, Anderson, Thurgood Marshall, Smith and Fairview elementary schools in Clayton and Henry County in order to help teachers prepare for the upcoming school year. Rep. Scott sought to provide assistance to teachers who spend their own money on paper, composition books and pencils during the school year. These teachers will be able to decide when to give the donated supplies to students.
Representative Sandra Scott represents the citizens of District 76, which includes portions of Clayton and Henry counties. She was first elected to the House Representatives in 2010 and currently serves on the Defense & Veterans Affairs, Human Relations & Aging, Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment, Science and Technology and Special Rules committees.
