ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex) recently received the 2019 N’zinga Woman of Esteem Excellence Award by DJ Tony Neal. Rep. Scott was presented with the award during the R&B Weekend 2019 on Saturday, September 14, 2019, in Atlanta.
“It was an honor to receive this award along with four other incredible women who want to make a difference in their communities,” said Rep. Scott. “I am inspired by the industry leaders who are also making an impact in our state, and I will continue to strive for excellence by continuing to serve the citizens of House District 76.”
Rep. Scott and four other women were hand-selected by DJ Tony Neal for this award for their commitment and dedication of servitude. The award recipients were chosen for being women of change who are also industry “movers and shakers.” The awards also recognize women who volunteer their time to improve the quality of life for others, establish standards that inspire and encourage other women to achieve their full potential through entrepreneurship, and provide leadership and influence decisions that shape their cities and communities.
