ATLANTA – State Representative Segun Adeyina (D-Grayson) supports the 2025 Haitian Flag Day Celebration, hosted by the Georgia Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce (GAHCCI) in partnership with the City of Forest Park and the Consulate General of Haiti in Atlanta, which will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2025, from 2 – 7 p.m. at Starr Park Amphitheater in Forest Park, Georgia.
The event commemorates the creation of the Haitian flag on May 18, 1803 – a symbol of Haiti’s fight for freedom and independence. This year’s theme, “Nou Se Wozo” (“We Are Resilient” in Haitian Creole), honors the strength, adaptability and unity of the Haitian people.
The event will be free and open to the public and will include a ceremony, cultural performances and a recognition of Haitian-American entrepreneurs, students and leaders. There will also be live music, food, vendors, cultural displays and family-friendly activities, as well as keynote remarks from community leaders and partners.
