ATLANTA – Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) recently named State Representative Shaw Blackmon (R-Bonaire) to the Economic Development and Tourism, Insurance and Special Rules committees. Rep. Blackmon was sworn into the Georgia House of Representatives on August 20, 2015.
“The life of every middle Georgian is directly impacted by insurance policy and the economic viability of their state,” said Rep. Blackmon. “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in these various capacities and look forward to getting right to work.”

Representative Shaw Blackmon represents the citizens of District 146, which includes portions of Houston County. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2015, and currently serves on the Economic Development & Tourism, Insurance, and Special Rules committees.
