Rep. Spencer Frye Elected House Minority Caucus Vice-Chairman

ATLANTA – The Georgia House Democratic Caucus elected State Representative Spencer Frye (D-Athens) to serve as the House Minority Caucus Vice-Chairman during caucus elections on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

“It is an honor to have been elected to the position of Democratic Caucus Vice-Chair, and I look forward to serving alongside Chair Miller and our entire leadership team,” said Rep. Frye. “The upcoming legislative term is pivotal in protecting the rights of our citizens. While we fought a great fight in our previous legislative term, we have much work to do in ensuring we win on legislation that defends our constituents’ rights and upholds our values. I am eager for our caucus’ return to the Capitol this winter.”

In this position, Rep. Spencer Frye (D-Athens) will assist with member services and incumbent re-election, candidate recruitment, caucus fundraising, technology utilization and presiding over the Minority Caucus meetings in the absence of the chair.  

This will be Rep. Frye’s seventh term in the Georgia House of Representatives and his first term as Minority Caucus Vice-Chairman.

Representative Spencer Frye currently represents the citizens of District 122, which includes portions of Clarke County. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2012 and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight Committee. He also serves on the Creative Arts & Entertainment, Game, Fish & Parks, Human Relations & Aging, Public Health, Transportation, Urban Affairs and Ways & Means committees.
