ATLANTA — State Representative Valencia Stovall (D-Forest Park) was recently elected to serve as Chair of the Clayton County Legislative Delegation for the 2017-2018 legislative term of the Georgia General Assembly. Rep. Stovall’s appointment is for a two-year term, concurrent with her service as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives.
“As I prepare for my third term as a state representative, I am excited and grateful to have been elected by my colleagues to serve as chair of our county’s delegation,” said Rep. Stovall. “Our county is poised for greatness, and I look forward to serving the residents and businesses of Clayton.”
Beginning in January, the delegation will hold public meetings to discuss topics relevant to the citizens of Clayton County.
Representative Valencia Stovall represents the citizens of District 74, which includes portions of Clayton County. She was elected into the House of Representatives in 2012, and currently serves on the Code Revision, Education, Interstate Cooperation, and Small Business Development committees.
