ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Kevin Tanner (R-Dawsonville) as the Secretary of the Intragovernmental Coordination Committee. Rep. Tanner will also serve as a member on the Education and Natural Resources & Environment committees.
“I am humbled and honored to be placed in this leadership role as a freshman legislator.” said Rep. Tanner.
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Kevin Tanner represents the citizens of District 9, which includes portions of Dawson, Forsyth, and Lumpkin counties. He was elected in 2012, and currently serves as the Secretary on the Intragovernmental Coordination Committee. He also serves on the Education and Natural Resources & Environment committees.
