Rep. Terry Cummings Receives Committee Assignments for the 2025-2026 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), recently named State Representative Terry Cummings (D-Mableton) to serve on the Banks and Banking, Public Safety and Homeland Security and State Properties committees.

“I’m honored to have been selected to serve on these impactful committees during my second term in office,” said Rep. Cummings. “Each committee plays a vital role in ensuring that we have the best interests of Georgians at heart. I am eager to work alongside my colleagues on these committees to better banking, public safety and property policies across our great state.”

Additionally, Rep. Cummings will serve as House whip of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus and vice chair of the Cobb County House Delegation.

Representative Terry Cummings represents the citizens of District 39, which includes a portion of Cobb County. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2022 and currently serves on the Banks & Banking, Public Safety & Homeland Security and State Properties committees.
