ATLANTA – State Representative Erica Thomas (D-Austell) hosted Haitian Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. In celebration of Haitian Day, Rep. Thomas presented House Resolution 264 during a morning order in the House chamber recognizing May 2017 as Haitian Month in Georgia.
“Haitians have played a large role in the history of this state and of this country,” said Rep. Thomas. “Haitian Day at the Capitol and Haitian Month in Georgia are small ways to express the gratitude we all share for the impacts made by Haitians and the country of Haiti.”
