ATLANTA – State Representative Trey Kelley (R-Cedartown) recently received an ‘A’ rating from the National Rifle Association of America. This grade serves as an evaluation of Rep. Kelley’s support of Second Amendment issues during his time in office.
“In my time in the legislature, I have consistently and adamantly supported pro-second amendment legislation, and I am honored to be recognized by the NRA with this distinction,” said Rep. Kelley. “It is our constitutional right to bear arms and one of the founding principles upon which our country was founded. It is important that we fight to preserve those rights for all citizens.”
Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America’s oldest civil rights and sportsmen’s group. More than five million members strong, the NRA strives to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The NRA also provides firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services.
