ATLANTA – State Representative Trey Kelley (R-Cedartown) today presented the Polk County Sheriff’s Department with two State Flags of Georgia. One flag will be flown over the county courthouse and the other above the county jail.
“It was my privilege to deliver these flags to Sheriff Moats and the Polk County Sheriff’s Department,” said Rep. Kelley. “Sheriff Moat’s department is working hard to protect our community and I always enjoy working with him and his deputies.”
“I was thrilled to have Representative Kelley fly these flags over the state Capitol in honor of our department,” said Sheriff Johnny Moats. “Since taking office we have dedicated ourselves to working for the people of Polk County. Displaying our department’s patriotism is certainly part of our service to our community and I appreciate Representative Kelley’s willingness to help us further this goal.”
Representative Trey Kelley represents the citizens of District 16, which includes portions of Bartow, Haralson, and Polk counties. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2012, and currently serves as the Secretary on the Higher Education Committee.
