ATLANTA – State Representative Keisha Waites (D-Atlanta) will partner in a volunteer project organized by AbbVie, a biopharmaceutical company, on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Heritage Academy Elementary School in Atlanta.
“As a public servant, I am thrilled that Heritage Academy Elementary has been selected for this opportunity, and this service project is a great opportunity for me to build stronger relationships within the community,” said Rep. Waites. “I look forward to volunteering alongside many of AbbVie’s Atlanta employees at we work to enhance Heritage Academy Elementary.”
During the project, volunteers will renovate Heritage Academy Elementary School’s library. Between 40 and 50 AbbVie employees from the Atlanta area are expected to participate in the volunteer project.

Representative Keisha Waites represents the citizens of District 60, which includes portions of Clayton and Fulton counties. She was elected into the House of Representatives in 2012, and currently serves on the Interstate Cooperation, Juvenile Justice, Public Safety & Homeland Security, Special Rules, and Transportation committees.
