ATLANTA –State Representative Jimmy Pruett (R-Eastman) released the following statement today concerning the Bleckley Probation Detention Center: “I would like to thank the community of Cochran, its leaders, and most of all, the hard working employees of the detention center. Their efforts have made, and will continue to make, a positive impact in our community. I would also like to personally thank Commissioner Brian Owens’ decision to reinstate the Bleckley Probation Detention Center, saving 40 jobs, the loss of which in this economic downturn would have been a devastating to our community. This decision will keep hard working and honest Georgians working during these tough times.”
