House and Senate Agriculture Committee Chairmen Announce 2026 Ag Issues Summit and Launch Joint Family Farms Study Committee

ATLANTA – State Representative Robert Dickey (R-Musella), chairman of the House Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee, and State Senator Russ Goodman (R-Cogdell), chairman of the Senate Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee, will host the annual Ag Issues Summit on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in Perry, Georgia. The summit will also serve as the inaugural meeting of the Joint Study Committee on Generational Sustainability of Family Farms.

Rep. Jaclyn Ford Appointed by Speaker Burns to Serve on Agriculture & Rural Development Committee of CSG South

ATLANTA – State Representative Jaclyn Ford (R-Tifton) was recently appointed by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) to serve on the Agriculture & Rural Development Committee of the Council of State Governments Southern Office (CSG South) for a two-year term, ending December 31, 2027.

Speaker Jon Burns Announces Appointments to 2025 House Study Committees

ATLANTA – Today, House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) announced appointments to the Georgia House of Representatives’ 2025 study committees. These committees will meet throughout the interim, hear from experts, stakeholders and the public and compile a report of specific findings or legislative recommendations ahead of the 2026 legislative session.
