ATLANTA – State Representative Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) participated in the WeLoveU Foundation’s blood drive on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The event marked the 20th anniversary of the International WeLoveU Foundation’s blood drive events, conducted in partnership with the American Red Cross, and it was held in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month and Sickle Cell Awareness Month.

Rep. Sandra Scott Named Chairwoman of the National Foundation for Women Legislators 

ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex) recently was nominated to serve as the chairwoman of the National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL). In addition to this nomination, Rep. Scott also obtained $200,000 in funding to support NFWL initiatives to help further the organization’s capacity to engage women in public policy discussions.

ATLANTA – State Representative Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) and other state legislators recently held a roundtable discussion on pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Georgia State Capitol. The roundtable discussion aimed to highlight issues related to PBMs, and it included presentations, a question-and-answer segment and a discussion on legislative solutions.
