Georgia Lawmakers to Host New Date for HOA, COA and POA Day to Advocate for Homeowner Protections at State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representatives Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) and Sandra G. Scott (D-Rex) will host Homeowners Association (HOA), Condominium Owners Association (COA) and Property Owners Association (POA) Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 9 a.m., in room 125 of the Georgia State Capitol. This event was originally postponed due to winter weather and will now take place on February 10.

Reps. Scott, Davis and Schofield Urge Georgia General Assembly to Support Georgia Trauma Informed Child and Youth Trafficking Response Act

ATLANTA – State Representatives Sandra G. Scott (D-Rex), Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain) and Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) urge the General Assembly to appropriate $500,000 to fund coordination positions under the Georgia Trauma Informed Child and Youth Trafficking Response Act (LC 48 1659), which would create the state’s first trauma-informed, statewide system to protect children and youth who are victims of human trafficking.

ATLANTA – State Representatives Sandra G. Scott (D-Rex), Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain) and Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) urge the Georgia General Assembly to support mental health care services in schools by approving $250 million in funding as part of House Bill 26, the School Behavioral Mental Health Support Act, which Reps. Scott, Davis and Schofield introduced during the 2025 legislative session.
