ATLANTA – DeKalb County House Delegation Chair Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates) and Vice Chair Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), along with members of the DeKalb County House Legislative Delegation, will hold a meeting with the DeKalb County School Board on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 12 p.m. in room 514 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.

Protecting Veterans and Ensuring Fairness in Military Benefits

As a state, as a community and as a nation, we owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude to our veterans and their families. They have sacrificed so much to ensure our safety and protect our freedoms. However, concerns have been raised about the transparency and fairness of services provided to these brave men and women. In response to these concerns, bipartisan sponsors in the Georgia General Assembly, including State Representatives Sandra Scott, Viola Davis, Kim Schofield, and others, introduced House Bill 1323, also known as the “Fair Business Practices Act.”

DeKalb County House Legislative Delegation to Host DeKalb County Day at the State Capitol
