GUEST EDITORIAL: Rep. Angela Moore Introduces Bill to Officially Designate Collard Greens as the Official Greens of Georgia and its “Potlikka” as the Official Dipping Sauce for the Official Bread of Georgia

Georgia collard greens are a tradition and a hardy, nutritious vegetable that grows easily in our climate and are also known as “True Southern.” They are high in vitamins and minerals, making them a valuable source of nutrients for a diet that might otherwise be lacking. Under House Bill 65, I propose that collard greens be the official state greens and “potlikka” be the official state dipping sauce of our state.

Rep. Angela Moore Participates in International Youth Fellowship 2023 Mind Education Workshop

ATLANTA – State Representative Angela Moore (D-Stonecrest) recently participated in the International Youth Fellowship’s (IYF) 2023 Mind Education Workshop in Dallas, Texas and hosted by Revered Ock Soo Park of Seoul South Korea, founder of more than 50 churches in the U.S. and more than 146 churches, schools and cultural arts groups around the world. After learning of the number of children in her community who are suffering from depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism, Rep. Moore wanted to further her education on the subject and accepted the invitation to attend the summit.

Reps. Angela Moore and El-Mahdi Holly to Partner with City of Stockbridge to Present Free Family-Friendly Holiday Peace Concert and Christmas Cantata 2023 Tour

ATLANTA – State Representatives Angela Moore (D-Stonecrest) and El-Mahdi Holly (D-Stockbridge) will partner with the City of Stockbridge to present a free family-friendly “Holiday Peace Concert” featuring the Lighthouse Junior Choir on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 4 p.m. at the Merle Manders Conference Center in Stockbridge.
