Rep. Brent Cox Calls on GDOT to Establish Study Committee on Gainesville Inland Port Impact

ATLANTA – State Representative Brent Cox (R-Dawsonville) today formally requests that the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) establish a study committee to examine the potential impacts of the proposed Inland Port of Gainesville, Georgia, known as the Blue Ridge Connector, on surrounding counties, including Hall, Forsyth, Jackson, Dawson and Lumpkin.

ATLANTA – Today, State Representative Brent Cox (R-Dawsonville), co-chairman of the Georgia Israel Legislative Caucus, along with 100 House members, issued a bipartisan resolution commending President Donald J. Speaker Jon Burns Announces Appointments to 2025 House Study Committees

ATLANTA – Today, House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) announced appointments to the Georgia House of Representatives’ 2025 study committees. These committees will meet throughout the interim, hear from experts, stakeholders and the public and compile a report of specific findings or legislative recommendations ahead of the 2026 legislative session.
