ATLANTA – State Representative Demetrius Douglas (D-Stockbridge) was recently named by Johnson & Johnson as its 2022 Georgia Legislator of the Year. Rep. Douglas was selected for his bipartisan legislative efforts to lower the cost of prescription drug prices.
ATLANTA – State Representative Demetrius Douglas (D-Stockbridge) today announced that House Bill 1283 was recently signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp on Monday, May 9, 2022. Sponsored by Rep. Douglas, HB 1283 will require schools to offer recess to K-5 students each school day.
ATLANTA – State Representative Demetrius Douglas (D-Stockbridge) makes constituents aware that eligible Georgia families will start receiving monthly payments from the federal Expanded and Improved Child Tax Credit, which passed under the federal American Rescue Plan. As of yesterday, eligible families will receive monthly advance payments of $300 per child.
