ATLANTA— House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today announced the appointment of state Representative Don Parsons (R-Marietta) to the Southern Legislative Conference (SLC) Fiscal Affairs & Government Operations (FA&GO) Committee and the SLC Energy and Environment Committee. As the presiding officer of the Georgia House of Representatives, Speaker Ralston is charged with selecting members to represent Georgia within SLC.

Crime Victims’ Bill of Rights Makes its Way to Governor’s Desk

ATLANTA – House Bill 567, an update to the Georgia Crime Victims’ Bill of Rights, received final passage with overwhelming bipartisan support on Wednesday, April 21, 2010.  Sponsored by Representative Don Parsons (R-Marietta), HB 567 enhances and strengthens Georgia’s laws as they relate to crime victims.
