ATLANTA – State Representative Doreen Carter (D-Lithonia) alerts constituents that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently issued a voluntary recall on valsartan, a drug commonly used to control blood pressure and prevent heart failure. Rep. Doreen Carter Encourages Citizens to ‘Go Red for Women’

ATLANTA – State Representative Doreen Carter (D-Lithonia) is encouraging citizens to “Go Red for Women” by wearing red on Friday, February 1, 2019. “Go Red for Women” Day is celebrated by the American Heart Association and is designated to increase women’s awareness and research about cardiovascular health.  Rep. Rep. Carter Hosts Hands-Free Driving Law Forum

ATLANTA – State Representative Doreen Carter (D-Lithonia) and Pastor Eric Lee Sr. recently hosted “Getting a Grip on House Bill 673: Everything You Need to Get a Handle on the Hands-Free Law.” The Hands-Free Georgia Act, which was passed during the 2018 legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly, creates a hands-free driving law in Georgia that took effect on July 1, 2018.
