House Republican Caucus Elects Officers

ATLANTA – The House Republican Caucus met today to elect its leadership team for the 2025-2026 legislative term. During the meeting, House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) was nominated by the caucus to serve a second term as the 75th Speaker of the House of Representatives, while House Speaker Pro Tempore Jan Jones (R-Milton) was also nominated to serve another term in her role.

Reps. John Carson and Ginny Ehrhart to Host Press Conference Opposing Mobility Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax Increase

ATLANTA –State Representatives John Carson (R-Marietta) and Ginny Ehrhart (R-Powder Springs), as well as John Loud of LOUD Security Systems and other Cobb County business leaders, will host a press conference to oppose the proposed Mobility Special Purpose Local Option SalesTax (MSPLOST) increase on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 10 a.m. across from the Cobb-Marietta Transit Center in Marietta, Georgia.
