House Budget Includes Additional Funding for Education in Ware County

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives approved on Friday, January 24, 2014, HB 743, the Amended Fiscal Year 2014 (AFY 2014) state budget, which includes an additional $890,421 for the Ware County Board of Education. The AFY 2014 budget is the state’s mid-year spending plan which helps fund the final few months of the current fiscal year. Rep. Shaw Named Legislator of the Year By Firefighters

ATLANTA – State Representative Jason Shaw (R-Lakeland) recently received the 2013 Legislator of the Year Award from The Georgia State Firefighters’ Association (GSFA) and the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs (GAFC). The award is given every year to the legislator who goes above and beyond in his or her role to support Georgia fire service.
