Governor Kemp Signs Legislation to Help Detect Dense Breast Tissue

ATLANTA – House Majority Leader Jon Burns (R-Newington) today announced that House Bill 62, or “Margie’s Law,” was signed by Governor Brian Kemp on Thursday, May 2, 2019. HB 62 will require health care facilities that conduct mammogram screenings to notify a patient if they are found to have dense breast tissue. Leader Burns, Rep. Hitchens and Sen. Hill Announce Roundabout Project in Effingham County

ATLANTA – House Majority Leader Jon Burns (R-Newington), State Representative Bill Hitchens (R-Rincon) and State Senator Jack Hill (R-Reidsville) today announced that the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will build a roundabout at the intersection of State Route (SR) 275/Ebenezer Road and Country Road (CR) 307/Old Augusta Road South/ Long Bridge Road in Effingham County. Rep. Hilton to Attend Center for the Advancement of Leadership Skills Program

ATLANTA – State Representative Scott Hilton (R-Peachtree Corners) has been chosen from state executive, legislative and judicial branch officials from across the 15-state Southern Legislative Conference (SLC) region to participate in the 2017 Center for the Advancement of Leadership Skills (CALS) program.
