ATLANTA – State Representative and Governor’s Floor Leader Lauren McDonald, III (R-Cumming), along with members of the Forsyth County Legislative Delegation, stand united in their support for House Resolution 303 and its enabling legislation, House Bill 585, the ‘Georgia Development Impact Fee Act,’ which would aim to empower local boards of education in high-growth school systems, including Forsyth County schools, by granting them the authority to impose, levy and collect educational development impact fees.

Representatives Lauren W. McDonald, III and Brent Cox Receive Briefing on Israeli Hostages from Consul General of Israel to the Southeastern United States

ATLANTA – State Representatives Lauren W. McDonald, III (R-Cumming) and Brent Cox (R-Dawsonville), along with members of the Georgia-Israel Legislative Caucus, yesterday held a “Bring Them Home” event at the State Capitol to raise awareness for individuals from Israel whose family members are currently being held hostage in Gaza.

Georgia House Passes Legislation to Provide $1 Billion in One-Time Tax Refunds to Georgia Taxpayers

ATLANTA – State Representative Lauren McDonald (R-Cumming), one of Governor Brian Kemp’s floor leaders, today announced that the Georgia House of Representatives passed House Bill 162, legislation which would provide a one-time tax refund for eligible citizens of Georgia. Rep. McDonald is carrying HB 162 on behalf of Gov. Kemp, who recently announced his plan to return $1 billion dollars back to taxpayers.
