Cove’s Law Legislation Sponsored by Rep. Hawkins Signed into Law

ATLANTA – State Representative Lee Hawkins (R-Gainesville) today announced that House Bill 241, Cove’s Law, was signed into law by Governor Nathan Deal on Monday, May 8, 2017. HB 241, sponsored by Rep. Hawkins, will add Krabbe disease to the list of metabolic and genetic conditions for which newborn screenings may be conducted by the Department of Public Health. Rep. Lee Hawkins Introduces Legislation to Support Disabled Veterans

ATLANTA – State Representative Lee Hawkins (R-Gainesville) today introduced legislation that would allow qualified disabled veterans to file for a three year retroactive reimbursement of the Disabled Veteran’s Homestead Tax Exemption. Rep. Lee Hawkins Visits Little House Academy in Celebration of Georgia Pre-K Week

ATLANTA – State Representative Lee Hawkins (R-Gainesville) visited Little House Academy to show support for early childhood education during Georgia Pre-K Week on Thursday, September 29, 2016.
