ATLANTA – State Representative Mandisha A. Thomas (D-South Fulton) commends Governor Brian Kemp for signing House Bill 480 into law on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Co-sponsored by Rep. Thomas, HB 480 increases workers’ compensation in state law, as well as the maximum total workers’ compensation that can be paid to a surviving spouse after their spouse dies.

Rep. Mandisha A. Thomas to Host Environmental Justice Day Tomorrow

ATLANTA – State Representative Mandisha A. Thomas (D-South Fulton) will host Environmental Justice Day TOMORROW, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. starting at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol. This event will feature guest speakers, an award ceremony, as well as an opportunity to interact with state legislators and watch the legislative session.

Rep. Mandisha A. Thomas Introduces Legislation to Legalize Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operations

ATLANTA – State Representative Mandisha A. Thomas (D-South Fulton) recently introduced House Bill 287, legislation which would authorize microenterprise operations out of home kitchens in compliance with the Georgia Department of Public Health. Under HB 287, microenterprise home kitchen operations would be considered non-commercial kitchens in private homes where ready-to-eat food is handled, stored, prepared or offered for sale by the resident off the premises.
