ATLANTA – State Representative Mary Margaret Oliver (D-Decatur) recently introduced House Resolution 1351, which would rename “Memorial Drive” as “Veterans Memorial Drive.” Memorial Drive runs through DeKalb and Fulton counties and includes US 78 and SR 410, or Stone Mountain Freeway. Each member of the DeKalb Delegation is a co-sponsor of HR 1351 and proposes that the road have a name that honors all U.S. veterans.

ATLANTA – State Representatives Billy Mitchell (D-Stone Mountain), Mary Margaret Oliver (D-Decatur) and Omari Crawford (D-Decatur) have introduced House Bill 794, a bill which would remove the official designation of Stone Mountain Park in its entirety as a Confederate Memorial and removes the word “Memorial” from the park’s official title. HB 794 is co-sponsored by every member of the DeKalb delegation.
Reps. Todd Jones, Mary Margaret Oliver Introduce Legislation to Continue Mental Health Reform Efforts
ATLANTA – State Representatives Todd Jones (R-South Forsyth) and Mary Margaret Oliver (D-Decatur) today introduced legislation to continue to reform Georgia’s mental health care delivery system and address workforce shortages. House Bill 520 would build upon the foundation of Georgia’s Mental Health Parity Act, which was championed by late Speaker Ralston and Reps. Jones and Oliver during the 2022 legislative session.
