Reps. Matt Reeves and Mesha Mainor Propose the Second Chance Workforce Act

ATLANTA – State Representatives Matt Reeves (R-Duluth) and Mesha Mainor (R-Atlanta) recently introduced House Bill 926, the Second Chance Workforce Act. This legislation would allow individuals with low-level municipal citation and misdemeanor charges to keep their driver’s licenses during their cases, as long as the charges do not pertain to DUI, reckless driving or child support, so that their ability to drive to work is not interrupted.

Rep. Matt Reeves Applauds Sugar Hill Homeowner Tax Relief Referendum Win on Election Day

ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Reeves (R-Duluth) applauds Sugar Hill voters in Gwinnett County for voting in favor of three homestead exemption referenda with 86.77 percent of the vote on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Rep. Reeves sponsored these ballot measures through local legislation, which reduced homeowners’ property taxes in Sugar Hill.

Rep. Matt Reeves Named Georgia Nurses Association Legislator of the Year

ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Reeves (R-Duluth) was recently named Legislator of the Year by the Georgia Nurses Association during the association’s meeting at the University of Georgia. Rep. Reeves was selected to receive the award following his work sponsoring House Bill 383, the “Safer Hospitals Act,” which was signed into law in April of this year by Governor Brian Kemp.
