Floor Leader Matthew Gambill’s Legislation Making Georgia the Top State for Talent Signed into Law

ATLANTA – On Monday, State Representative Matthew Gambill (R-Cartersville), a Governor’s Floor Leader, joined Governor Brian Kemp at the Georgia State Capitol for the signing of House Bill 192. This legislation officially designates Georgia as the Top State for Talent by codifying the Georgia MATCH Program – an initiative introduced in 2023 to streamline the college admissions process for high school seniors across the state.

Reps. Mitchell Scoggins, Matthew Gambill Announce Bartow Co. Homestead Tax Exemption Increases

ATLANTA – State Representatives Mitchell Scoggins (R-Cartersville) and Matthew Gambill (R-Cartersville) today announced that Governor Brian Kemp recently signed House Bill 118 and House Bill 622 into law to triple Bartow County’s homestead tax exemption programs for school and county ad valorem taxes. Next spring, residents will have an opportunity to approve these local homestead tax exemptions through ballot referendums.
