ATLANTA – State Representative Regina Lewis-Ward (D-McDonough) recently hosted the inaugural Black Farmers Ball to celebrate the achievements of Black farmers on Friday, October 28, 2022.  The event’s theme, “Saving Our Land: Equity Matters,” sought to highlight the need for equitable agricultural policies in Georgia.

Rep. Regina Lewis-Ward Serves as Guest Speaker for National Organization for Women’s Annual Conference

ATLANTA – State Representative Regina Lewis-Ward (D-McDonough) recently served as a guest speaker for the National Organization for Women’s (NOW) annual conference earlier this month in Chicago. Rep. Lewis-Ward addressed hundreds of attendees and highlighted the role women have in protecting democracy.

Rep. Lewis-Ward Supports State Funding for Adapted Sports Program for Children with Disabilities

ATLANTA –Representative Regina Lewis-Ward (D-McDonough) announced that she recently helped secure additional funding in House Bill 910, the Amended Fiscal Year (AFY) 2022 budget, to support an adapted sports program for children with disabilities. Recently signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp, the AFY 2022 budget includes $388,259 to support the efforts of the American Association of Adapted Sports Program, Inc. (AAASP).
