ATLANTA – State Representative Robert Dawson (D-Atlanta) recently participated in Pathways to Primary Election Reform: Legislative and Legal Strategies for a Stronger Democracy. This national conference is hosted by the USC Schwarzenegger Institute and the Unite America Institute in partnership with the University of Southern California’s Price School of Public Policy, Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and USC Libraries.

Speaker Jon Burns Announces Appointments to 2025 House Study Committees

ATLANTA – Today, House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) announced appointments to the Georgia House of Representatives’ 2025 study committees. These committees will meet throughout the interim, hear from experts, stakeholders and the public and compile a report of specific findings or legislative recommendations ahead of the 2026 legislative session.

City of South Fulton Legislative Delegation Elects Members for 2025-2026 Term, Rep. Debra Bazemore Elected Chair

ATLANTA – State Representative Debra Bazemore (D-South Fulton), along with members of the City of South Fulton Legislative Delegation, recently met to elect its delegation members for the 2025-2026 legislative term. Rep. Bazemore was elected Chair of the delegation and State Representative Robert Dawson (D-Atlanta) was selected Secretary.
