Rep. Sandra Scott to Giveaway $1,000 Donation of Free Feminine Hygiene Products to Clayton Co. Students

ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex) was recently selected by the National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL) to donate $1,000 worth of feminine hygiene products to students in Clayton County. In honor of Period Poverty Awareness Week, Rep. Scott will distribute the period products at Morrow Middle School on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 3:30 – 4 p.m. and at Adamson Middle School on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 3:30 – 4 p.m.

Democratic Legislators Continue Work to Advance Support for Police Accountability Act

ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex), Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain) and Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) will continue to work to advance bipartisan support for House Bill 107, the Police Accountability Act. Introduced during the 2023 legislative session, HB 107 would require all law enforcement agencies to provide a body-worn camera to every officer and require such body cameras be turned on during interactions with the public.
