ATLANTA – State Representative Sharon Cooper (R-Marietta), chair of the House Public Health Committee, recently joined State Representative Scott Hilton (R-Peachtree Corners) at the State Capitol as Governor Brian Kemp signed House Bill 218 into law. This bill, co-sponsored by Rep. Cooper, provides a precise definition of “mentally incapacitated,” especially concerning Georgia’s elders, and includes provisions allowing out-of-court statements to be used as admissible testimony in legal proceedings.

Rep. Sharon Cooper’s Legislation Bringing Key Changes to Pharmacy Regulations Signed into Law

ATLANTA – Today, State Representative Sharon Cooper (R-Marietta), chair of the House Committee on Public Health, joined Governor Brian Kemp as he signed House Bill 1072 into law. Sponsored by Rep. Rep. Sharon Cooper Recognizes Tardive Dyskinesia Awareness Week

ATLANTA – State Representative Sharon Cooper (R-Marietta), chair of the House Public Health Committee, seeks to recognize Tardive Dyskinesia (TD) Awareness Week as a part of Mental Health Awareness Month throughout May. During the 2023 legislative session, Chair Cooper introduced House Resolution 317 to recognize May 1 – 7, 2023, as TD Awareness Week in Georgia to help increase education and raise awareness about the condition.
