Reps. Stacey Evans, Beth Camp Commend State Ethics Commission on Decision to Allow Candidates to Utilize Campaign Funds for Childcare Expenses

ATLANTA – State Representatives Stacey Evans (D-Atlanta) and Beth Camp (R-Concord) today announced that the State Ethics Commission has approved their bipartisan request to allow candidates for public office to utilize campaign contributions for childcare expenses incurred due to campaign-related activities. Reps. Evans and Camp submitted the request on behalf of all caregivers who seek and/or hold public office in Georgia.

Rep. Stacey Evans Sworn in, Receives Committee Assignments for the 2021-2022 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Stacey Evans (D-Atlanta) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 11, 2021, which was the first day of the 2021-2022 legislative term. In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Evans to the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and the Judiciary and Retirement committees.

House Democratic Caucus Elects Officers

ATLANTA – The House Democratic Caucus met to elect it key leaders on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. The Minority Caucus re-elected House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams (D-Atlanta) and House Minority Whip Carolyn Hugley (D-Columbus) for their current positions, as well as House Minority Caucus Secretary Pat Gardner (D-Atlanta), House Minority Caucus Treasurer David Wilkerson (D-Powder Springs) and House Minority Deputy Whip Gloria Frazier (D-Hephzibah). The Minority Caucus also elected State Representative Stacey Evans (D-Smyrna) as the new House Minority Caucus Chairwoman and Rep.
