ATLANTA – State Representative Yasmin Neal (D-Jonesboro) recently introduced House Bill 1603, the Georgia Entertainment Artificial Intelligence Accountability and Performer Protection Act, during the 2026 legislative session. The proposed legislation seeks to safeguard performers and strengthen protections for Georgia’s film and entertainment industry regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI).

Speaker Jon Burns Announces Appointments to 2025 House Study Committees

ATLANTA – Today, House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) announced appointments to the Georgia House of Representatives’ 2025 study committees. These committees will meet throughout the interim, hear from experts, stakeholders and the public and compile a report of specific findings or legislative recommendations ahead of the 2026 legislative session.
