ATLANTA – Today, Speaker of the House Jon Burns (R-Newington) announced the members of two additional House study committees. These committees were created by legislation adopted during the 2024 session of the Georgia General Assembly.
House Study Committee on Safety and Consumer Protection of Nicotine Vapor Products

- Rep. Dale Washburn (R-Macon)

Created by House Resolution 1283, the House Study Committee on Safety and Consumer Protection of Nicotine Vapor Products will examine all issues surrounding electronic cigarettes, e-liquids and other nicotine vapor products and develop potential legislation that could assist in preventing consumer harm and protecting the health and safety of those who consume nicotine vapor products.

Created by House Resolution 1432, the House Study Committee on Disaster Mitigation and Resilience will examine ways to develop a comprehensive resilience plan to accommodate and mitigate current and future disaster events with the goal of facilitating strong economic development, promoting tourism and assisting communities and businesses struggling with repeated disaster impacts.
