ATLANTA – Today, House Bill 428 passed out of the House with bipartisan support and will now head to the Senate for consideration. HB 428, which would codify protections for in vitro fertilization (IVF) in Georgia, is a priority bill for House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) during the 2025 legislative session. This legislation, sponsored by State Representative Lehman Franklin (R-Statesboro), would ensure Georgians struggling with infertility will always have access to medical assistance through IVF.
