ATLANTA – State Representative Calvin Smyre (D-Columbus) commented today on Governor Nathan Deal signing into law House Bill 1080, legislation that authorizes the placement of a statue of Martin Luther King, Jr. on the grounds of the State Capitol. Sponsored by Rep. Smyre, Dean of the House, HB 1080 received bipartisan support from House and Senate leadership, as well as the Office of the Governor. Rep. Calvin Smyre to be Inducted into International Civil Rights Walk of Fame

ATLANTA – State Representative Calvin Smyre (D-Columbus) will be inducted into the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site.
