ATLANTA – The House Study Committee on Affordability & Accessibility of Georgia’s Legitimation Process, chaired by State Representative Carter Barrett (R-Cumming) and vice chaired by State Representative Teddy Reese (D-Columbus), will hold its second meeting on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Columbus City Service Center in Columbus, Georgia.
Created by House Resolution 753, this study committee will study whether the legitimation process in Georgia may be improved in a way that yields it more affordable and accessible, particularly for those biological fathers with limited financial resources.
